Inspired with love and individual attention to detail, we welcome you to enjoy your next holiday in one of our charming apartments. Each apartment comprises of a private balcony – combined with high-quality bespoke interior it’s the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday in the Inner Salzkammergut region.

The emporer “Franz Josef” considered Bad Goisern “the most beautiful village of the monarchy” and therefore the heart of the Inner Salzkammergut region. Through its central location, it’s the perfect spot to reach all surrounding villages (Hallstatt, Bad Ischl, Bad Aussee, Gosau, Obertraun, St. Wolfgang) within 15-25 minutes by car.

From April to November, Bad Goisern offers many opportunities for hikers, mountain bikers, climbers and other nature lovers.
There are many swimming opportunities in the surrounding 76 Salzkammergut lakes, the cosy river bathing area near the house (3 minutes' walk), the local heated outdoor pool (10 minutes' walk) or also the lido at Lake Hallstättersee (5 minutes' drive).
The inner Salzkammergut and especially Bad Goisern can be described as a mountain bike Eldorado. You can explore hundreds of kilometres of paved forest roads on various routes of all levels of difficulty.
For e-bike riders, there are possibilities to rent e-bikes and even recharge them at various huts in order to complete a long tour.
In Bad Goisern, Austria's largest mountain bike race takes place in July with the annual Mountain Bike Trophy. Thousands of starters from all over the world come to compete in this very special race. There are many different routes, categories, etc. so that there is something for everyone.
In Goisern you will find everything your mountain bike heart desires, including two bike workshops, shops and rental bike stations, a wheel producer (Pancho Wheels), as well as bike guiding or technique training including rental bikes with Electric Flow.
Villa Salzweg is an ideal base camp for your mountain bike or e-bike trip. We offer a well locked bike room for our guests, as well as the possibility to charge your e-bikes there. Furthermore, there is a bike washing area in front of the house.
Thanks to the central location of the house, you can be on the various routes offered by Bad Goisern and the inner Salzkammergut in no time.
There is a possibility to rent bikes in the immediate vicinity at Bikes4You (4 minutes walk), at Goisern BikeWorld (5 minutes drive) or directly delivered to Villa Salzweg by Electric Flow.
Swimming:
Bad Goisern and the surrounding area offer a globally unique wealth of bathing opportunities in breathtaking scenery. Whether in the beautiful natural bathing lakes of the inner Salzkammergut with their spacious bathing areas, the Goiserer FKK lido, on the Traun or in the open-air swimming pool, you will definitely find enough opportunities to cool off on a hot summer day.
At many lakes there are also opportunities to rent boats, canoes or even SUP's, as well as water fun with banana boats, water skiing or similar.
Things To Do:
The region is bursting with must-see things. Whether it's the world-famous Hallstatt, the Five Fingers on the Krippenstein, the Schafbergbahn (known from Sound of Music), the Vordere Gosausee with its world-famous panorama, or simply the cave worlds in Obertraun. There is much to discover in the immediate vicinity.
Climbing and via ferrata:
For the more sporty and courageous guests, Bad Goisern and the inner Salzkammergut offer an abundance of via ferratas and climbing routes in all degrees of difficulty.
Many via ferratas are also suitable for beginners if you have a bit of stamina. For advanced climbers there are many longer and more demanding tours with super panoramas.
Hiking and walking:
On the many beautiful hiking and walking trails in and around Bad Goisern, you can explore the nature and beauty of this region for weeks.
Whether you take the more leisurely walks or more challenging hikes, there is something for everyone, young or old, athletic or not.

As a starter pack, guests are provided with basic equipment including salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, coffee capsules, washing-up liquid, Wettex, washing-up sponge, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, soap, kitchen roll and toilet paper.
The town centre of Bad Goisern with its market square, surrounding restaurants and shops for your daily needs is an 8-minute walk away, as is the train station and bus stop.
The bus stop for the ski bus with connections to the Dachstein West ski area (Gosau, Krippenstien- Obertraun) or Loser (Altaussee) is an 8-minute walk away.
Bad Goisern is the centre of the inner Salzkammergut. Due to the central location of Villa Salzweg, all surrounding villages (Hallstatt, Bad Ischl, Gosau, Obertraun, St. Wolfgang), activities and attractions can be reached by car in 15-25 minutes.

A "pass" is a regional term for a whole group of people - whether friends, relatives or even companies.
Whether you are going on a company outing, travelling with your entire extended family or organising a group trip with your club or your large circle of friends. Villa Salzweg can accommodate up to 20 people, divided into 4 holiday flats, each sleeping 4-6 people.
For groups of up to 10 people, the combination of the Wilderer holiday flat and the Handwerker holiday flat is ideal, as both are on the 1st floor and can be connected by an anteroom. This gives you 4 bedrooms, 2 sofa beds, a 12m² balcony, an 18m² balcony, 2 bathrooms, 2 WCs, 2 living rooms and 2 kitchens. Ideal so that you can stay together.
