Alpakaria - the alpaca farm in Aurach am Hongar

Alpakaria is located on a small hill, nestled in the beautiful Attersee-Traunsee Nature Park, in the idyllic municipality of Aurach am Hongar.

The farm is a small, fine family business run by Julia Loy with her husband Martin and her parents Sabine and Alois.

In addition to the six cows, the cuddly cats Fredi and Mona, the two ducks Mathilda and Oskar and a hard-working flock of chickens also enjoy the quiet life at "Thoia z'Hoaboch".

A love of nature and a passion for producing high-quality herbal products themselves gave the family the idea of expanding the farm with new ideas and visions for the future. But in addition to the herbs, there is another mainstay: the dream of breeding their own alpacas.

In spring 2017, six fluffy, cuddly and, above all, super-cute alpacas moved in with the Loys, and the herd has now grown to 16 animals.

Since then, Julia and her family have been producing many local products from the valuable alpaca fibre on the herb and alpaca farm, as well as a variety of natural herbal products, all of which are harvested exclusively from the herb garden, forest and meadows.
