There are, in total, ca. 40 km of cross country skiing trails in the broad Goisern valley. The trails are of appeal to both beginners and experienced cross country skiers.
The elevated trail by the Predigstuhl (1.000m) is very popular.
The circular cross country trails are described as being easy to challenging in terms of difficulty, and there are stunning views across the Goisern valley towards Lake Hallstatt and mountain Dachstein.
Please take 6,5 km long, toll-free, panoramic road up to the "Höhenloipe" and you will find an information board with the cross country trails clearly indicated at the car park next ...

Accessibility / arrivalYou can reach the cross country slope on Predigstuhl via the 6,5 km panoramic road up to Predigstuhl parking lot. Start of the panoramic road is at the roundabout in Bad Goisern.
In winter months winter tires are a basic requirement, snow chains are advisable on snowy roads.
